This is just an advance of the session on the next 9th of June, 18:00 CET in the middle of FIWARE Fest.

Data model README improvement

The README.md of every data model provides the links to the different translations of the specification. These sentences are now in their original languages.

Additionally, these links now take to the specification in GitHub and stop prompting to be downloaded.

Other information available in the README include:

  1. Links to the automatic creation of examples in NGSI-LD format
  2. Links to the actual examples of the use of this data model in 4 differnt formats

This format update will be completed today for all data models.

If you can think of other improvements please let us know.

Update the specs

Many of the contributors of the data models are providing changes into the spec.md and its translations.

Fortunately, this is not necessary. You just need to provide the changes in the descriptions included in the schema.json file of each data model.

Now in order to save time for the contributors, a warning message has been included in the specs.

The link takes you to the contribution manual section where the specification is described.

German translation available / Deutsche Übersetzung verfügbar

Now there is a specification translated into German available for all data models in the initiative. so it becomes official like French one and Spanish.

The translation is made automatically but it seems to be good enough.

NGSI-LD key values service in the README of every

In the README of every data model now there is a new line in the Dynamic examples section, under the text

“Link to the Generator of NGSI-LD keyvalues payloads compliant with this data model. Refresh for new values”

The link provides an example of a NGSI keyvalues payload with values compliant with the data types of this smart data model but generated randomly (so it does not look like static examples which actually are coming from real examples)

New service: Generate a NGSI-LD payload keyvalues format compliant with a Smart Data Model

There is a new service for users, which is the ability to generate an example payload compliant with a specific data model in key values format. Previously it was available the normalized format.

Options are located in the main menu (Generate NGSI examples)

Update of the contribution manual. Process image

We have drafted the publication process for new data models and for updates.

It’s the first page of the contribution manual and every box (not in this image) has links to the tools/resources to be used.

Hopefully, it will be more straightforward to be understood.

New Data model Smart Metering Observation

A new data model for the device subject capable of allocating payloads of power consumption. In the subject datamodel.Device.

SmartMeteringObservation. This entity contains a harmonized description of a Smart Meter Observation, generally applicable for Smart Homes, Industry, Cities, and Agriculture. It is based mostly on the GSMA entity definition but it is extended
